Feature Requests

We encourage you to submit feature requests for our projects through GitHub Issues or GitHub Projects. Both methods allow you to communicate your proposed feature, receive feedback from the community, and track the progress of your request.

Using GitHub Issues:

  1. Navigate to the GitHub repository: Visit the GitHub repository you wish to raise a feature request for. (Currently only Android-Simprints-ID)

  2. Access the Issues tab: Click on the "Issues" tab in the repository's navigation bar.

  3. Create a new issue: Click on the "New issue" button at the top of the Issues page.

  4. Provide a descriptive title: Title your issue to represent the feature request accurately.

  5. Write a detailed explanation: Describe the feature you propose, including its purpose, benefits, and any relevant context.

  6. Add screenshots or links: If applicable, include screenshots or links to demonstrate the desired functionality of the new feature.

  7. Assign labels: If provided, assign relevant labels to your issue to categorise it and improve searchability.

  8. Submit the issue: Click the "Submit new issue" button to create your feature request.

Using GitHub Projects:

  1. Access the GitHub repository's Projects tab: Click on the "Projects" tab in the Simprints organisation navigation bar.

  2. Create a new item: Click on the "+" icon to add a new item to the project board.

  3. Choose the "Feature Request" type: Select the "Feature request" template from the available options.

  4. Provide a descriptive title: Title your feature request to represent the proposed functionality accurately.

  5. Write a detailed description: Explain the proposed feature, including its purpose, benefits, and any relevant context.

  6. Add screenshots or links: If applicable, include screenshots or links to demonstrate the desired functionality of the new feature.

  7. Assign labels: If provided, assign relevant labels to your feature request to categorise it and improve searchability.

  8. Submit the feature request: Click the "Create" button to submit your request to the project board.
